Ep #8: Gorillaz’s “Gorillaz”

Up to Some Real Monkey Business.

This band that doesn’t exist makes some great music. That’s right: Gorillaz, while seemingly having four members, actually is made of only Damon Albarn and a whole host of synthesizers and electronic equipment. Jamie Hewlett takes up the other side of the helm, and is responsible for the art that you see, playing the art that you hear. It’s a bit of a trick to wrap your head around the whole thing, but at least you can listen to the music and jam out to the grungy sounds made coming out of the 90’s and into the new millennium. Made with modern technology, this is a band that’s ready to rock and then some.
