If you want to confuse a large percent of the adult population, be Eurythmics. With androgynous singer Annie Lennox to make them unsure of who they’re listening to, and Dave Stewart’s dark and moody synthesizers to confuse them on what instruments rare being played. When they ask you to turn it off, you can retort “But muuuuuuum, it’s only Eurythmics. They had that huge album last year, Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This). It was all over the radio!” This will leave them confused at exactly what music is coming to these days. But in the end, this is the new wave of the future, and this is one of the synthesizer bands that paved the way for pop music as we know it today.
